ESTATE & TRUST ADMINISTRATION
The Faircloth Law Firm, LLC assists clients in all aspects of probate and estate administration. We regularly assist personal representatives and trustees in fulfilling their duties to administer and distribute estate assets. Recognizing that significant parts of estate administration can be handled by the individuals or entities named as personal representatives, we are committed to offering as much or as little help as we may be called upon to provide while always providing appropriate counsel. In addition to assisting personal representatives with their duties, we regularly advise estate beneficiaries and creditors about their rights.
Additionally, we regularly advise trustees (both individual and corporate), trust beneficiaries, accountants, and other attorneys with respect to a wide range of trust administration issues. This advice often addresses ways in which the terms of otherwise irrevocable, older trusts can be altered to account for changes in laws or circumstances. Another substantial portion of our trust administration practice revolves around income tax planning to help minimize taxes while still achieving the trust creator’s (grantor’s) intent.
We regularly help clients with the following:
